ABOUT NOMEE
Born and raised in the city of Chicago there is no end to the inspiration in its landscape and people that Nohemi doesn’t incorporate in her work.
Photography may not have been an early calling for Nohemi. Interest in the arts was always prominent. Starting with classes in interior design it helped open the door of creativity; with color, design, and placement. Some years later she picks up a camera and at the CPC Photography School. This begins her fascination with cameras, film, and photos. There was no way to know where it would lead but it has been a key to the success of her journey. Film photography is still a cornerstone in creating her photos. By using classic and timeless techniques. Sometimes even using those timeless cameras. Her favorite, widely known for Vivian Maier’s work, a Rolleiflex TLR. You may even run into Nohemi with that camera while she enjoys being a tourist in her city.
Nohemi currently resides in the city of Chicago with her partner Baqee and their 3 children. She gets a lot of inspiration from them, both at home and in their travels.
